Amaretto and Lemonade is a sweet, nutty and fizzy long drink: almond liqueur topped with lemonade and a squeeze of lemon.

Ingredients

  • 50ml amaretto
  • 150ml chilled lemonade
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon
  • Ice
  • Lemon wedge or cherry, to garnish

Method

  1. Fill: Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Build: Add the amaretto and a squeeze of lemon.
  3. Top: Top with lemonade, stir and garnish.

Tips for the Perfect Amaretto & Lemonade

  • The fresh lemon is important: it balances the sweetness of the amaretto.
  • Amaretto is usually around 21-28% ABV, so this is a lighter drink.
  • Swap the lemonade for cola for an Amaretto and Coke.

Variations

Shake the amaretto with lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white for the classic Amaretto Sour.
