Pornstar Martini

The Pornstar Martini is one of Britain's favourite cocktails: vanilla vodka, passion fruit and lime, served with a shot of fizz on the side.

Ingredients

• 40ml vanilla vodka
• 15ml passion fruit liqueur
• 30ml passion fruit purée
• 15ml fresh lime juice
• 10ml vanilla sugar syrup
• 60ml chilled Prosecco, served in a shot glass
• Half a passion fruit, to garnish
• Ice

Method

1. Shake: Add the vodka, passion fruit liqueur, purée, lime juice and syrup to a shaker full of ice. Shake hard for 15 seconds.
2. Strain: Double strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
3. Garnish: Float half a passion fruit on top.
4. Serve: Pour the Prosecco into a shot glass and serve it alongside, to sip between mouthfuls or pour in.

Tips for the Perfect Pornstar Martini

• Fresh passion fruit pulp works if you can't find purée; scoop out two fruits.
• If you don't have vanilla vodka, use plain vodka and a little more vanilla syrup.
• Double straining catches the seeds and ice shards for a smooth finish.

A Bit of History

It was created by the late London bartender Douglas Ankrah in the early 2000s and quickly became one of the most-ordered cocktails in UK bars.
