The Purple Hooter is a sweet, tangy shot of vodka, raspberry liqueur and lime. Bright, fruity and an 80s party classic.

Ingredients

  • 15ml vodka
  • 15ml raspberry liqueur (such as Chambord or crème de framboise)
  • 15ml fresh lime juice
  • Ice

Method

  1. Shake: Add everything to a shaker with ice.
  2. Chill: Shake hard for 10 seconds.
  3. Strain: Strain into two shot glasses.

Tips for the Perfect Purple Hooter

  • Fresh lime is much better than bottled.
  • Add a splash of lemonade to serve long.
  • Black raspberry liqueur gives the deepest purple colour.

Variations

Top it up with lemonade in a tall glass for a Purple Hooter cocktail.
