The Slippery Nipple is a sweet layered shot of sambuca topped with Irish cream. Smooth, aniseed-flavoured and very popular at parties.

Ingredients

  • 15ml sambuca
  • 15ml Irish cream liqueur

Method

  1. Base: Pour the sambuca into a shot glass.
  2. Layer: Slowly pour the Irish cream over the back of a bar spoon so it floats on top.
  3. Serve: Serve straight away.

Tips for the Perfect Slippery Nipple

  • Pour slowly and keep the spoon just above the sambuca for a clean layer.
  • Chill both bottles for a neater layer.
  • Sip it in one go for the full layered effect.

Variations

Swap the sambuca for butterscotch schnapps and you have the Buttery Nipple.
