Everything Bagel Seed Clusters

Bring everything bagel seed clusters to the table for something different alongside a drink. The recipe balances flavour and texture using straightforward techniques and measured ingredients. Serves 8. Have everything ready before you start, follow the cooking and cooling times below, and pour a small glass of Golden Ale when the food is ready.

Ingredients

Serves 8

  • 80 g pumpkin seeds

  • 80 g sunflower seeds

  • 40 g sesame seeds

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 tsp dried onion flakes

  • 1/2 tsp garlic granules

  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 170°C, 150°C fan and line a tray.

  2. Whisk egg white until foamy and stir in all seeds, onion, garlic and salt.

  3. Spoon into 16 small mounds and flatten slightly with gaps between.

  4. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and dry. Cool fully on tray so clusters firm before lifting.

Serving Suggestions

Serve in small bowls or on a sharing board. Crisp snacks are best freshly made, while chilled snacks should stay refrigerated until just before serving. Follow the storage guidance in the method.

Pairing Tips

Start with Golden Ale. Light biscuit malt and gentle citrus hops suit savoury herbs and crisp textures without overpowering them. Serve a modest measure so the drink supports the food. An alcohol-free beer in a similar style is also an option; choose one with a comparable balance of sweetness and bitterness.
